Product manual
Build work that keeps moving
Use SolidActions to deploy durable workflows, give AI clients shared workspace context, track plans and tasks, and measure live data. Start with the setup path you need, then browse the same product areas used in the app.
Start here
| Your goal | Set up | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Work with a workspace in an AI client | Connect the hosted MCP service | Authorized access to Docs, Crews, Pegboards, and Dashboards while you chat. |
| Build jobs that run when the AI is offline | Install the CLI and local skills | A local workflow project you can test, deploy, schedule, and trigger. |
| Use conversation and automation together | Set up both paths | AI-assisted workspace operations plus deployed, deterministic workflow execution. |
The two setup paths are independent.
Hosted MCP uses browser OAuth and does not install a local server. The CLI uses an API key and installs local skills with solidactions init or solidactions ai init; it does not authorize your chat client. Use either or both.
Start with a problem
Prevent double-booking across calendars
Study a two-way Google Calendar workflow using Connections, Variables, a Schedule, Webhooks, and Runs.
Calendar sync case study →Browse problem-led examples
Find the smallest runnable project or SDK pattern that resembles the outcome you need.
Explore examples →Automate
Projects
Deploy workflow source and manage production, staging, and dev environments, builds, and settings.
Projects and environments →Runs
Inspect execution status, timeline, input/output, errors, cancellations, reruns, and dead-letter work.
Manage runs →Connections and Variables
Authorize third-party services and keep reusable environment configuration and secrets out of source.
Workflow Connections →Variables and secrets →
Triggers
Start workflows through webhooks, schedules, internal calls, CLI, REST, or an exposed MCP tool.
Choose a trigger →Work
Docs
Create shared workspace context with automatic saving, folders, types, properties, Views, and revision history.
Use workspace Docs →Crews
Package AI-authored roles, routines, skills, shared memory, and runtime variables into a reusable convention.
Work with Crews →Track
Pegboards
Create boards in the app, then let an authorized AI manage structured plans, tasks, notes, claims, and status.
Track work on Pegboards →Measure
Dashboards
Review, filter, preview, publish, and recover AI-authored dashboards backed by live read-only queries.
Use Dashboards →Data connections
Connect MotherDuck with a protected read-oriented token for Dashboard queries.
Connect dashboard data →Accounts and integration
API keys
Scope and rotate credentials for CLI and REST access without confusing them with MCP OAuth sessions.
Manage API keys →Help and reference
Diagnose setup and deployment problems, or find official endpoints, packages, repositories, and schemas.
Troubleshooting →Reference →
